First, welcome to Capitol Nannies! We are a referral agency to help find the best position for you. We strive to make the best match for you and your future employer. Once the placement is made, we do not stop there. We follow up with you, and put you in touch with other caregivers in your area to create a supportive network.
Our nannies pay no fees and our temporary nannies keep 100% of what they earn. We trust that you will find our service to be the best to work with.
An article in a U.S. News and World Report listed being a nanny as one of the top 10 professions in the country. The nanny profession provides higher salaries than any other segment in the childcare industry- daycare, in-home daycare, pre-school, and sometimes teaching.
Minimum Requirements Include:

at least 3 years of childcare experience; experience must have been acquired within the last 5 years

at least 3 childcare references; references CANNOT be relatives or friends and at least 3 character references

prefer some college, but will accept experience in lieu

own car with insurance
You may begin completing our on-line application. Once we have verified your information and spoken to your references, you will be invited to interview in our office. You will then authorize us to do a criminal background, driving, and social security verification.
Once we receive that information and everything is in order, you will be invited back to the office for an orientation meeting. These meetings are held each month for new nannies that have been screened for placement. This meeting is mandatory before placement. Capitol Nannies will cover your professional responsibilities and our expectations of a professional nanny.Once you have completed the orientation process, you will be ready for placement.
Your profile will be sent only to the families that match your specifications. This ensures a good match between you and the family.
Once you have been offered a position with a family, you will contact the office to let us know of your decision. We will send over a nanny/family contract to your new employer. We will follow up after placement to make sure you and your family are doing well.
We are available for any questions or concerns you may have. You can be confident that we are sending you to loving environments, where you can expect to be treated as a professional.
Part-time nanny needed for a family in Culloden. Approx 15-20 hours/week. Job consists mainly of driving children to and from school 3 days/week. $10/hr plus gas reimbursement. Candidates must have a clear driving record.
Temporary nannies needed for Huntington and Teays Valley areas. $10-$15/hr. Opportunity to set you own schedule. Candidates must have a clear background and at least 3 non related childcare references.
